THE BRIEF
Stonewater set us the challenge of improving their internal communication strategy by re-imaging their Big Picture.
Originally devised over five years ago as a hand-drawn aid to represent their social purpose and values, the tool was due a modern-day, digital spruce up to reflect the developments in their business.
INSIDE OUT
We immersed ourselves within the business over a number of weeks, engaging with Stonewater’s people using workshops, 1:1 sessions and engagement activities, to really understand their personality, values and vision.
To activate the strategy for the new initiative, we recommended a completely digital launch event, offering loads of interactive communications to get involved with and get excited about.
The full programme included teaser communications, social media competitions, engagement sessions with the team and phased in modules to The Big Picture.
With a staggered release strategy, we launched the new and improved The Big Picture - a virtual world based in the company’s intranet. With various environments to explore, we created a meaningful digital experience where employees discovered resources to support their career and enhance their understanding of the business story and values.
The Big Picture needed to tell a story. We wanted people to clearly visualise themselves in Stonewater’s current culture - playing an active role in the culture of the future. We encouraged emotional engagement by:
- Each element of the map telling a story
- Colleagues designing their own avatar
- Voiceovers recorded by Stonewater employees
- Interactive games
