ICELAND INCENTIVE.

THE BRIEF

Virgin Media O2 wanted to recognise their dynamic team's hard work and dedication, and they turned to us to create a memorable and rewarding trip for some of their team.

This journey needed to offer physical challenges and next-level recognition, and Iceland, where beauty and sustainability go hand-in-hand, was the perfect choice! We also love that it was a polar opposite (see what we did there) to Toronto, where we brought their previous incentive to life.

We really got under the skin of both the brief and the client’s core values, with ESG being a huge focus for them. Iceland's commitment to sustainability, exemplified by its renewable energy sources, fit Virgin Media O2's values like a glove.

This trip was unlike any other, with around 100 participants and 18 whole months of planning – like a baby elephant!

BRINGING IT TO LIFE

To build anticipation, we created a digital journey using our very own Event Arena, offering a sneak peek into the upcoming adventure. It served as the gateway to explore the itinerary and destination details, fueling the sense of wonder.

The itinerary was designed with sustainability, safety, inclusivity, authenticity, adventure, and surprise in mind. Witnessing the Glacier and Geysirs, going Whale Watching, exploring the Þingvellir National Park (a UNESCO world heritage site and great for Game of Thrones fans), and experiencing the newly crafted Sky Lagoon were all showstoppers that enhanced the journey.

We really got in the Icelandic spirit when it came to getting around, hopping in super jeeps (cannot recommend enough!!) and scooting around on snowmobiles!

The remarkable purity of Icelandic water allowed us to take a sustainable approach by gifting everyone with branded 750ml water bottles for reuse throughout the journey.
